Being listed here is free and always will be. This page is for
the other thing — when you've seen what's missing and you'd rather
somebody just fixed it.
If you have no website
180 businesses in this county don't have one. Some
have got by on word of mouth for thirty years and done fine. The reason it
matters now is narrower than the sales pitch usually suggests: when somebody
new moves here and asks where to go, there's nothing for them to find.
If you already have one
You probably don't need a new site. Most of what we find is
four or five small things on the site you've already paid for — a missing
line of code, a headline Google is rewriting for you, no hours anywhere a
machine can read them.
Listed — free
Every business in the county is already here. Nothing to do,
nothing to pay, no account.
Listing with name, category, phone, address, hours and website
Your website scored on nine checks, with what it is
missing
Corrections or removal by one email, handled by a person
Claimed — free
Tell us it is yours and you can shape it. Still free, still no
account — we verify by replying to an address at your domain, or calling
the number already on your listing.
Add hours, a real description, services and photos
A Claimed badge so customers know a human is behind it
The first year costs more because it includes the build and the
fixes. After that it is upkeep and promotion.
Your website, handled
No website at all? We build and host one. 180 businesses in
this county have none, and for them this is the whole point.
Already have one? We fix what the scoreboard found — title,
description, structured data, mobile, headings — on your actual site,
then re-score it so you can see the difference.
The files that answer questions about you. Two plain text
documents — llms.txt and AGENTS.md — that
state what you do, where you work and who you serve, in a form the newer search
tools can read. 423 of the businesses we measured have neither. It costs
nothing to have and it is the sort of small housekeeping that is much easier to
do now than to catch up on later.

What money cannot buy here
This matters more than the perks, so it is written down
and it will not change:
Your score. Members are measured by the same nine checks as everyone
else. Paying gets a site improved, never scored differently.
Your place on the scoreboard. The ranking is the score and nothing
else touches it. The build refuses to publish if that is ever untrue.
Business of the Month. Editorial. Not for sale, and a member has no
better odds of it than anyone else in the county.
A local ranking you can buy your way up is worth
nothing to the person reading it. The county average is 72 because
that is what we measured, not what anyone paid for.
Honestly, what this is not
There is no member login yet —
claims and changes go through email and a person answers them. An events
calendar, a business podcast and a deals section are things we intend to build.
They are not listed above as perks because they do not exist yet, and we would
rather promise six things that happen than twenty that might.
