A grocery shop, a pub, a salon and a pottery studio, all in one
development at 865 FM 1209 in Bastrop. It is open to the public, all of it, and
a lot of people who have driven past it have never worked out whether they are
allowed in. You are.
The name confusion, first. Most people call the whole place
“the Boring Bodega”. The Bodega is one business inside a
development called Hyperloop Plaza — boringbodega.com now
redirects to
hyperloopplaza.com.
Four businesses share the site and each keeps its own hours, which is the part
worth knowing before you drive out.

What is there
Boring Bodega
Grocery shop
A full-service grocery shop, and the anchor of the site. Snacks
and everyday shopping rather than a weekly supermarket run — for that,
the H-E-B is still the answer.

A word about the obvious. This development was built by The Boring
Company, and how people in this county feel about that company and the person
behind it varies about as much as it is possible to vary. Some neighbours are
glad of the jobs and the investment. Others have real, specific concerns about
water, traffic, permitting and how fast all of it arrived.
Both of those are honestly held, and this page is not going to try to settle
it. What is on this page is what the four businesses are, who may go in, and
when they are open — because that is a question people keep asking and
there was no straight answer anywhere.
If you want the ongoing detail — who is out there, what has been
built, what has been filed — our sister site
Musk Mile covers the
corridor closely, and this site's own
Musk Corridor page lists every business within
six miles of it with the same website scoring every other business here
gets.
Getting there
865 FM 1209, Bastrop. It is out past the edge of town rather than on Main
Street, so it is a drive rather than a walk from downtown. Parking is on
site.
How this page was checked
Every business, description and set of hours on this page was
read off Hyperloop Plaza's own live website on the day the page was built,
after following the redirect from boringbodega.com. Hours change; the plaza's
own site is the authority. Something wrong?
